I love teaching, writing, and people as much as design. Working as a designer in today's social and political environment means grappling with the stories I tell, how I tell them, and how it affects the world around me. I design for Pocket Prep's web and app study tools, which have over 200k users per month and average 4.8 stars on the App Store. Our two person design team invests in a thorough process of user research and testing, frequent dev collaboration, and thoughtful user interfaces as we build the foundation of Pocket Prep's Design System.

Worked directly with Fortune 500 companies, agencies, and startups to design digital products, craft websites, and create brand systems. This required deft timeline and strategy direction, clear and frequent client communication, design process education, and high quality delivery by deadline. Clients include EightShapes, InspectionXpert, and NC State Caldwell Fellows.

Interaction Designer, Valassis Digital

Crafted wireframes, user flows, and information architecture for internal and external web-based products in the ad tech industry. Worked within Agile methodologies with product managers, dev teams, and fellow UX designers to build new data harnessing tools and expand legacy systems.
